Candid Conversations is a one-hour community inquiry into the harder topics that women need to talk and learn about, such as redefining success on our own terms, surviving death and anti-racism.
The topic of our next Candid Conversations event will be: Women, Racism and Anti-Racism.
Why this conversation? Racism remains uncomfortably under-discussed, particularly among white women. Most simply haven't had the learning, development or practice around how to have conversations about race and racism. We want to change that.
On Wednesday 25th November, SHNL's founder Amanda Davie will share her own journey towards understanding and practising anti-racism, and how she came to meet her mentor, Janice Gittens. Together, Amanda and Janice will lead an honest conversation about women, racism and the path to becoming actively anti-racist.
