SHNL Community Gathering
September 23 @ 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
National Inclusion Week Is Over. Now What?
She Has No Limits’ Community Gathering
For one week, organisations across the country will talk about inclusion. There will be campaigns, conversations and commitments. Then National Inclusion Week® will end.
What happens next?
On Wednesday 23 September—three days after the official week ends—we are gathering at The Embassy in Belgravia to explore what inclusion looks like when it is no longer the week’s theme.
What does it look like in the choices we make?
In who gets heard?
In how we respond to difference?
In whether people feel they must explain or defend who they are before they are welcomed?
And in what we do when understanding does not come easily?
This will not be an evening that expects anyone to arrive with perfect language, complete understanding or all the answers.
It will be an evening of honest conversation, reflection and human connection. We ask only that you arrive willing to listen, participate with care and remain curious about experiences beyond your own.
What will happen during the evening?
The Gathering will open with special welcomes from Nicky Francis of Lumiere London and Cynthia Fortlage, keynote speaker, author and specialist in helping people think differently about leadership and inclusion.
Amanda Davie, supported by additional facilitators from the She Has No Limits community, will then guide the evening’s conversations.
Together, we will consider how we move inclusion from intention into everyday practice—and how we create workplaces, communities and relationships in which more people can genuinely belong.
An evening made possible through partnership
This special Gathering is being co-created by Amanda Davie and Cynthia Fortlage, with She Has No Limits partnering with The FORTLAGE Collective.
Lumiere London is generously welcoming us into The Embassy, its elegant and distinctive venue on Grosvenor Place. Filled with natural light, original architectural features and classic character, it offers a beautiful setting in which to gather and talk openly.
Our wines for the evening are being generously provided by our official drinks sponsor, Madame F. Guests will be invited to enjoy its rosé and deliciously smooth red wine.
Madame F is a queer-owned, purpose-led wine brand created to support Queer Britain, the UK’s national LGBTQ+ museum. Like this Gathering, the brand celebrates creativity, originality and the freedom to be unapologetically yourself.
Who is this Gathering for?
She Has No Limits is a women-centred community, and this Gathering centres women and women’s experiences.
All women, including trans women, are warmly and explicitly welcome. Non-binary people who feel the Gathering is relevant to their experience are also warmly welcome.
Attendance is open to people of any sex who support the purpose of the Gathering and agree to respect its women-centred nature and the dignity, privacy and identity of everyone present.
No one needs to justify their identity or demonstrate their right to belong. Participation is based on how we treat one another—not on assumptions about anyone’s sex, gender identity or appearance.
Guest bathrooms at the venue will be gender-neutral and available to everyone attending. No one will be expected to choose a bathroom based on their sex or gender.
